About Ariel

I am a trial and criminal defense attorney based in Washington, D.C. I am passionate about protecting the rights of my clients during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Every person deserves dedicated representation, unwavering support, and an attorney willing to fight for them.

Before founding Batiste Law, PLLC, I spent three years at a large intellectual property firm practicing patent litigation and patent prosecution before federal district courts and the International Trade Commission. I also maintained a robust pro bono practice there, gaining litigation experience in D.C. Superior Court representing clients in misdemeanor and felony matters.

My undergraduate degree is in neuroscience, an experience that strengthened my analytical approach and my ability to carefully examine evidence and complex factual situations.

I bring that same dedication and preparation to every criminal defense matter I handle. Whether negotiating, litigating motions, preparing for trial, or communicating with clients’ families, I am committed to providing strategic, client-centered representation and ensuring that every client has a strong voice in the courtroom.
